Service Description

Were you born overseas to one or two U.S. citizen parents? Or are you a U.S. citizen who had a child overseas? If yes - then this service is for you! You can use this session to ask questions about the process to apply for a first-time U.S. passport or a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA). Our Consultants have processed thousands of these kinds of cases while working for the Department of State. The pre-consular consultation is ONLY for applicants or parents of applicants born overseas who may have acquired U.S. citizenship at birth from a U.S. citizen parent. This service is NOT for those who may have derived citizenship from a parent who naturalized or through adoption, and it is NOT for those born in the United States.
